A non-profit rescue-mission

In 2024, we assisted a Federally Funded 501(c)(3) organization that has provided vital services to people with severe disabilities throughout Massachusettes. The company in question had been operating with sucess over decades; though ever-increasing funding issues, matched with an increasing need for the vital care services throughout MA led to vital targets being missed, led to the Federal Government threatening a total shutdown of operations.

Teaming with the executive team at the organization, we undertook a deep-dive into the processes from inception to completion of their process-cycle.  Undertaking staff interviews to reveal the real painpoints within the institution, and not just those that senior management, we brought a high level of objectivity to our deliverables and workflow restructures.

The key to the engagement was to sit impartially within the senior management team to bring an objective view to not just their operations, but to their funding too. We successfully negotiated an increase in Federal funding by building a case study on the economics over time for rising costs, increase in demand, and a stagnation in funding.
